Certification Audits Open April 1st

Body:

If so, SWBC has a free self-assessment, available on their web-site, to assist you with preparing.
The Sustainable Winegrowing BC Standards, one for vineyard, and one for winery are also available on their web-site in the Resources section. Please note that the self-assessments are the same as the Standards, in a different format. The Standards outline goals, outcomes and criteria which are assessed in the online self-assessment :) In other words, the self-assessment indicates how well your practices align with the criteria in the sustainability standards. For more information about how the program works please also see the Procedures Manual in the Resources section.
If you are ready to participate in B.C.'s Sustainable Winegrowing program, successful audits for your vineyards and winery, would enable you to use the Certified logo on your labels for the 2022 vintage. Audit costs are included in the program fees (unless more than usual time is needed). In person audits are available to be scheduled from April 1st to November 15th. Contact SWBC Program Manager, Katie Pease, to review your application and plan for an auditor's visit.
